I don't normally read comics or graphic novels so on a normal day, Black Wade: The Wild Side of Love would never catch my eye. But thanks to Smokinhotbooks tantalizing review, my interest was piqued. Thanks to a bunch of twitter talk and peer pressure, I caved. I quickly bought Black Wade and I don't regret it! When BW first arrived, I opened the Amazon box in my bathroom. I took a quick peek at the pictures and then hid it on a shelf in my closet. I spent the next hour waiting for hubby and son to roll the f*ck out so that I could read Black Wade in private and without interruption. Thankfully, I was able to read it when hubby left to help out our neighbor and the kid decided to go play outside. Me and Black Wade were finally alone.I must say the artwork is beautiful. The colors are vibrant and the drawings are very realistic. Let me just say this: I never thought I'd get turned on by looking at a drawing of a pirate's juicy booty. But I did. I love a man with a great ass. Whoever is responsible for the gorgeous artwork deserves a standing "O". Hee hee. The story is about the relationship between Black Wade and Lt. Wilkins. Black Wade is a typical pirate. He pillages and plunders. And when he captures Wilkins, he plunders him repeatedly. The sex is graphic, sexy, and hot. There are some come shots. And there's also scenes involving rape. I can't believe how much enjoyed this book. I am so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and purchased it. I owe a special thanks to K.C. If it weren't for her review, I would have never bought it.
