This is the first full audiobook I've listened to and I really enjoyed it. The Charley Davidson series is a series that I've been meaning to read for the longest. I'm glad I finally did! The narrator was great. It took some getting used the narrator voicing the male characters but once I got into the story, I didn't really notice it.Charley Davidson can see dead people a la the Sixth Sense. But what the people closest to her don't know is that she's also the Grim Reaper. She is being visited by this entity that she has smoking hot relations with. And she is trying to solve a murder.I really enjoyed First Grave on the Right. Now only is the cover fawesome, Charley is snarky and funny as hell. I thought that with this being an Urban Fantasy, the plot would be gritty and dark. It wasn't as dark as I thought it would be. It's not all sunshine and rainbows but I think that the author created a nice balance. The entire time I was listening to First Grave, my main question was "WTF is up with Reyes?" Jones does a great job of keeping dangling the carrot in front of us until the very end. I felt like Robert Downey Jr's character from Tropic Thunder. I was thinking, "Just spit that shit out already!" LOL! I'm not a patient person but the wait was well worth it.First Grave on the Right ends with a mild cliff-hanger. I have the audiobook for book 2 in the series and I can't wait to listen. I now see what the fuss is all about and why everyone was raving about this series.
