I don't have that much time to spend on a book that I feel is sucking the life out of me. It's campy and ridiculous and I can't figure out if it's on purpose or not. The dialog is weird and nothing about the story flows. The campy names are again, ridiculous. Lucipiers and Vangels oh my! I thought the Viking Vampire Angel would be something interesting and new in the PNR world but instead it is too much. The hero, Vik, I couldn't take seriously. Maybe because I only read 20%. Maybe the book gets better as it progresses. I will never know cause reading the little bit that I did was painful. Either way, I think I gave myself a headache with the abundance of eyerolls I did while reading the first 20%. I'm short on time and patience and there are too many books in my tbr that I could be reading instead of this one. So this one is a DNF.
