DNFEveryone has been telling me how great this series is. I couldn't make it to the 50% mark before I had to put it down. I do not like Desiree and don't know what Mace sees in her. Once they finally have sex, that's all they did! With her Marine buddies busting in to interrupt things. I got tired of all the sex. I know! Me, the smut lover, thought there was too much sex. Anyway, I couldn't get into the book so I'm not going to force myself to finish.Maybe at a later date, I'll give this book and series another try.EDIT: No longer DNF. After reading the Magnus Pack series, I decided to give The Mane Event another chance. I am so glad I did. I absolutely loved it! Two stories in one, Brendon and Ronnie's story was my favorite. I am so glad I decided to give this book and the series another chance.
