I tried to like this book. I liked the concept of older woman, younger man. I liked that Sam wasn't portrayed as an older woman on the prowl. She's successful, about to make partner at her law firm. Vic is an associate who wants to work on Sam's current case. He has his own motives for wanting to be involved. Vic is definitely attracted to Sam and the feeling is mutual. But I didn't buy the attraction and for me the characters lacked chemistry. I saw no reason for them to be together other than they are in each other's space. Throw in Sam's sister's pregnancy story line and I just stopped caring. I didn't find any of the characters likable and I wasn't invested in their happiness. The writing was ok but it didn't flow. There was a lot of telling instead of showing. And the fact that the author used the term "loins" to describe the hero's junk bothered me to no end. I made it to the 50% mark before I had to throw in the towel. Unfortunately this book just didn't work for me.DNF
