It's rare that a historical romance is so much fun! I loved Eliza's character. She has so much spirit and spunk. And those she tries to tamp down her impulsiveness and outrageous behavior, she can't; especially when's she's around Mr. Wright.Harry and Eliza are perfect together. Eliza sees Harry as being scandalous and wildly inappropriate but doesn't realize (or doesn't want to) that she's just as scandalous as he is. Just in a different way. Their banter was fun and witty. I loved how they got along. The story spans several years. Harry and Eliza continually cross paths. When they finally realize their feelings for each other, they can not be together. The ending is sweet and funny and involves a misunderstanding; the perfect ending for Harry and Eliza.I've heard nothing but great things about Tessa Dare's historical romances. This little taste has me craving for more. I definitely recommend this novella.
