Finding romance, one book at a time.

A Bloody Good Secret (Secret McQueen, #2)

A Bloody Good Secret (Secret McQueen, #2) - Sierra Dean A Bloody Good Secret starts 3 months later, with Secret still on temporary hiatus after receiving the warrant from the Council to kill her warden, Holden. Secret hightails it to her grandmere's house to hide from the council and avoid facing having to kill her mentor.A Bloody Good Secret is a non-stop thrill ride of plot twists and turns. There is never any down time in Secret's life. Besides trying to prove Holden's innocence, she still has the wolf love triangle that she must deal with. The mystery surrounding the what's and why's of Holden's crime kept the plot suspenseful and intriguing. I pride myself of being able to guess who the bad guy is before the big reveal but even I was shocked when the mystery started to slowly unravel. Sometimes the perceived good guys aren't always good.In A Bloody Good Secret, Desmond and Secret's relationship continues to blossom. I will admit, I would not be mad if Lucas was out of the picture. I don't feel any connection or bond between Lucas and Secret despite the fact that when they're in each other's company, they want to rip each other's clothes off. Beyond the physical connection, I don't feel that Lucas and Secret have an emotional connection. Not like the connection that Secret has with Desmond. So let's take the third wheel out of the equation - Lucas. Although Calliope, the Oracle, has hinted that a romantic relationship with Holden may be in Secret's future. And then there's the weird relationship that Secret has with Sig. I think Sig likes Secret more than we know. Oy! This woman has too many men! She doesn't have the time to juggle all these men. She is too busy kicking ass!A Bloody Good Secret was a fantastic read. A great addition to the series. The story ends with Secret's life heading into a new chapter...or does it? The cliffhangers are killer, yet so awesome because it wonderfully sets up the next book. If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend that you check it out.B+
