Brandon and Lucy do not waste time hitting the sheets. Lucy has been without male companionship for a long time and this is the first time a man, any man, has made her feel. Throughout the book Lucy struggles between doing what's right (hiding her true identity from Brandon because he's human) and doing something selfish (continue to see Brandon). Brand is not your typical hero. He's rough around the edges and there's more to him than meets the eye. Brand is constantly worrying about being too rough and crass around Lucy. The chemistry between Brand and Lucy is explosive. There is a lot of sex in this book and at some points I felt like it was a bit too much. We find out something about Brand's background that changes the game towards the end and I felt that more time should have been spent exploring this and maybe a little less sexy time.How To Worship a Goddess was a great addition to the series. I love the Estruscan mythology and can't wait to read more about this world. Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.C
