Shannon Stacey has become my auto-buy author when I'm looking for a new contemporary romance. I know that when I read a Shannon Stacey romance, I will get a great story, fantastic characters, and humor. Slow Summer Kisses did not disappoint.Cam is the sexy grumpy hero who is tasked with keeping an eye on his new neighbor, Anna. Anna has just been laid off from her high-powered finance job and she's spending some time at her grandparents' cabin so that she can recoup. She is constantly on the go and doesn't know the meaning of the word "relax". Cam used to be just like Anna until he realized that he was slowly killing himself with his former high stressful job as a lawyer. He's now all about relaxation, something Anna cannot fathom.I have a weakness for a grumpy hero. Cam is so grumpy and I find that sexy. Anna pushes all of Cam's buttons. He doesn't want to be attracted to her but he can't help himself. So to counteract his attraction, he does what any normal male would do - he insults her, reluctantly helps her and then insults her again. Cam and Anna have a lot of chemistry and it's evident the first time they meet. Despite the fact that they are total opposites - Anna is constantly moving, Cam likes to just be. Anna is a Yankees fan, Cam is a Red Sox fan.I really enjoyed Slow Summer Kisses. Even though it's a novella, it doesn't feel like one when you read it. I loved the romance between Cam and Anna. Their relationship was funny, sexy and sweet. It's a quick summer read that will leave a smile on your face.
