I am a huge fan of friends to lovers stories. It's one of my favorite romance tropes.Ask Her at Christmas is a sweet, romantic tale of finally realizing what's in front of your face. Kyle is tired of being a disappointment to his father. So he decides to go along with his father's plan of marrying the daughter of the company in order to create a successful business merger. Kyle has been "seeing" Monica sporadically for 6 months. They only go out to major events, where Monica can be seen and network. Kyle doesn't have any deep feelings for Monica but feels that this is the only way to gain his father's approval.Kyle decides to have his best friend, Caitlin, help him come up with the perfect proposal. Caitlin has been in love with Kyle for forever. When he drops down on one knee and proposes, she can't believe it. And then her bubble is burst when Kyle tells her of his plans to propose to Monica. A romantic at heart, Caitlin's goal is to make Kyle's proposal one of legends.I enjoyed Ask Her at Christmas. I thought that Caitlin was a very likable character. Kyle is a computer geek (sexy!) who is fighting for his dad's approval. Even though his determination to go through with the engagement made me frustrated with him, I understood why he felt the need for it. Kyle and Caitlin's relationship was sweet. I could see why they were friends. I didn't fully buy the attraction between them because the friendship part was written so well. I enjoyed the banter between Kyle and Caitlin. There were some funny moments in the story.Overall, Ask Her at Christmas was a good story. I definitely recommend it.
